PLD Testimonial

In June of 2017, M-Squared Products & Services, Inc. / M2 installed their Aggregate Packing Leak Detector / PLD system on five of our 9,000BHP Toshiba electric driven Ariel KBBV six (6) throw, two (2) stage compressors at our Madera California Storage plant.

The system is designed to meet California Air Resource Board / CARB emissions requirements of two (2) Scfm per operating Throw / Cylinder. Since inception, the PLD system has provided accurate, repeatable CARB required documented information, as well as Packing Gland health, Dynamic and Static State measurements for the operating compressors and those compressors shut-in loaded. These measurements have been available without fail twenty-four (24) hours a day, 365 days per year for the past eight years.

This non-invasive system was installed without issue, and the data provided through modbus registers, has allowed us to design the system output to meet our company’s configuration.

The PLD system has been extremely cost effective, very robust, able to handle the harsh Operating environment of the Oil and Gas industry. To date, we have not had a single failure. In the near future, we hope to add additional PLD systems to our other facilities.
